A private session may be done from either the peaceful surroundings of Nancy's home in Double Oak, TX (near the Flower Mound area) or in her second location at 16633 North Dallas Parkway, Suite 600 (in the Hanover Park Center) in Addison, TX  75001.  Please note that a session may consist of one or more services listed below... Please call for an appointment and discuss your needs with Nancy.  Outcalls are available (schedule permitting) within 12 miles from Double Oak, TX; there is an additional $40.00 service charge for this in addition to the regular session charge listed below.  No-shows will be charged in full--a credit card may be necessary for new clients booking their first time.

Massage & Reiki Services:

You are invited to experience some of the finest massage therapies available.  We offer a variety of professional massages in our beautiful surroundings to help you rejuvenate and heal.  Therapies offered are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral, Reiki Energy, Pregnancy, and Reflexology.   We will customize your treatment so that you receive the maximum benefits for your needs.  Each massage service is priced based on 30, 60, or 90 minutes.  Longer sessions are available--check with Nancy for pricing.  Chair massage is also available at a corporate level or at either of Balanced Energy locations.

You may want to prepay for a package of five massage treatments and receive a 20% savings!  This is a lovely gift to yourself or your loved one.

Swedish Massage:
A Swedish body massage is for relaxation and relief of tension and stress.  This style of massage incorporates long soothing strokes and kneading of the muscles to increase your circulation and relieve overall stiffness.  It will soothe your spirit, relax your muscles and give you a sense of balance and well being.  This style of massage can be experienced in a light to medium pressure.  Please let your therapist know your requests.

Myofascial Release:
Myofascial Release is a very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.  This technique can be very relaxing when applied properly, and is often used in treating clients with Fibromyalgia or other chronic pain.  Fascia is a densely woven covering and surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein as well as all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord.  The most interesting aspect of the fascial system is that it is not just a system of separate coverings.  It is actually one structure that exists from head to foot without interruption.  In the normal healthy state, the fascia is relaxed and wavy in configuration.  It has the ability to stretch and move without restriction.  Trauma, such as a fall, whiplash, surgery or just habitual poor posture over time and repetitive stress injuries may cause the fascial system to exert excessive pressure in our bodies producing pain and/or restriction of motion.

Neuromuscular Massage/Deep Tissue:

Neuromuscular Therapy is a process of correcting imbalances in the musculature in order to reduce pain.  Postural distortion often occurs as a result of unilateral contractions of skeletal muscles.  Treatment is aimed at creating balance in order to reduce the damages that can be caused by unnecessary torque on the joints.  Treatment may include deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and a mixture of muscle tissue manipulations, gentle stretches, and range-of-motion tests.

Cranio-Sacral:

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a technique where a practitioner uses a feather light touch to test for and release restrictions of the cranial system.  When there is tension or stress at certain points in the body, the body may be out of synchronization, causing ill health. Cranio-sacral therapy is administered through monitoring the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid's flow through the system.  By freeing tension from the spinal cord, the cerebral spinal flows more freely.  It is relaxing, safe and effective; and cranial sacral therapy may alleviate numerous conditions including migraines, chronic fatigue, motor coordination impairments, stress and tension, and orthopedic problems. After cranio-sacral therapy is administered, a common state of relaxation occurs and improves mental performance as well.  When this treatment is given alone, the recipient may remain fully clothed.

Prenatal Massage:

A wonderful choice for mother’s to be!  It is so important for expectant mothers to receive regular pregnancy massage in order to keep her body strong, relaxed, and healthy.  A side posture massage using a variety of pillows is designed to take care of the special needs required during pregnancy.  Prenatal massage is recommended for those women in their second and third trimester.

Reflexology:

Based on a theory that our entire body has a reflex or corresponding point in our feet, this therapy will bring tired achy feet back to life, and will relax your whole body.

Reiki Energy Therapy:
(Pronounced ray-key)  An ancient Japanese method of touch therapy that uses energy to help release blockages within the body.  Reiki helps to bring about deep relaxation and healing on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.  It is commonly used to treat emotional and mental distress as well as quicken recovery from illnesses and/or injuries.  Best used in multiple sessions when dealing with an illness or injury.  When this treatment is given alone, the recipient may remain fully clothed.

Couples Massage Workshop:

All participants will learn the basic Swedish style massage techniques that relax and relieve stress: effleurage, petrissage, friction and tapotement.  A professional massage educator will guide you through a full body sequence and massage for common ailments.  After demonstrating the techniques, they will assist you with the proper body mechanics of giving a massage and the finer points of each stoke and answer any questions.  You will come away feeling like a pro!  Our Full Body Swedish Massage Workshop is tailored for couples, romantic or otherwise. So you can pair up with either your honey or a friend and then set to work kneading out each other's kinks under expert tutelage.
